Diesel was 160p a litre in Cardiff last week and I've passed 5 petrol stations today where it was over the price in Norway
Have you noticed that in every other country Diesel is cheaper than petrol!
i'm sorry guys, this is just twisting the knife, you can see the real cost of diesel in the countries where they don't use the motorist as a cash cow, and don't forget even at those prices someone is still making a living, the people of the UK are just so lazy the French would have closed the country by now as would many other people who have had enough of being taken for mugs VAT on tax who else would stand for that.
we are idiots we pay these prices for fuel,we sit back and do nothing but blow hot air,i am sick of it ,jobs going all the time the government are wankers.
Why is it surprising that oil is cheap in countries that produce massive quantities of oil? Watch the prices in these countries shoot up as their reserves run dry. The age of oil only has a few decades left to run.
THIS LOT WILL NOT BE HAPPY TILL THE COUNTRY COMES TO A HALT, then THEY MIGHT TAKE NOTE.
Diesel used to be around 10p a litre cheaper than petrol until the government realised everyone was starting to buy the more economical diesel vehicles and then it became more expensive, how convenient. Fuel is an addictive cash cow for the government and there is no way they will ever stop milking it.
If people will keep voting in the "CONSERVATIVE PARTY" then this is what to expect, this party is only interested in helping the rich, who by the way can afford high petrol/diesel prices. We can scream and shout as much as we like but the true fact is that this government will not take a blind bit of notice. Maybe if everyone in the country stays away from a petrol station for even 1 day then they may sit up and take notice because they would loose a huge amount of money in taxes.
Just got back from an 11 day humanitarian aid trip to Moldova in a 7.5t truck. Filled up in Cardiff on 16th April at £1.37. Topped up in Dover at £1.49. Filled in Germany at(equiv)£1.27, £1.24 and £1.17, in Romania at £1.07 and finally in Moldova £0.87. Says it all. Mostly foreign trucks on the ferry with enormous double tanks so they never need to buy fuel in UK. As a charity rising fuel costs generally have hit our operations hard.
i know of uk truck operators that do the uk to europe trunk routes that there drivers would be sacked if they filled up in the uk.
We English are too laid back to really do whats needed which is to go park up on the main roads and stop the UK dead. The French would but guess what they don't have too as their government HAS MORE BLOODY SENSE. How can we be 1 below Norway - a country who's earnings are way above ours for Diesel - the life bloody of deliveries in this country
