I am struggling to keep my car on the road now as are many people I know.

If things carry on so many businesses will collapse and many more jobs will be lost.

Please open your eyes to the situation before it is too late.

Thank you.

It doesn't take a genius to see that if the price of fuel is cheaper everything that has to be hauled around the country will become cheaper as a result. I think the only people that can see this are the people that aren't allowed to expense their fuel/living bills. Dropping prices will encourage people to go out to the shops again instead of holding onto what little money they have left. I'm no expert but even if the extra spending only fills the gap that dropping fuel prices creates creates at least people will feel happier and we aren't any worse off.

There on another planet simple as that. Camron doesnt want fuel prices going down because he know that will bring other prices down which in turn will mean more spending which will shoot up interest rates AND THATS what camron doesnt want. Make the poor suffer as always. Our business is suffering as it is please cut the fuel prices!. bunch of twonks!

Thanks a lot Gideon.

Watch the country come to a standstill because none of us can afford anything any more. We can't drive to work, lorries can't transport goods, cost of living for EVERYTHING, including food will shoot up. Inflation will go even higher than 5%, high streets as bare as they now are will be complete ghost towns. Theft is already rising rapidly in all walks of life, people are resorting to desperate measures to be able to live. And despite the media not reporting much of this, fuel bilking has risen dramatically and no wonder.

The rating agencies get rid of your beloved AAA and deep recession, whilst still having loads of money to give to the black hole swindling Bilderberg nonsense that is the EU, aid to countries that brought it on themselves like Somalia, and for pointless wars. Oh I forgot, it's the green tree-hugger brigade who had a say in this.

Osborne you are just as bad as Darling, Brown and Clarke before you.

We need VAT to be cut and Fuel Duty to be abolished altogether.

Why should the Government and others in high ranking jobs throughout the UK care. Continual increases do'nt bother them, they all claim obscene mileage allowance plus lot's of other perks which we then have to pay for in taxes! We really do need to revolt like the French people, thats the only thing that these out of touch with reality bureaucrats will and have to take notice of! Until that happens, UK citizens will continue to be ripped off!!

Its time we all stood up and protested like in 2000. Haulage companies have been resistant due to the threats they had before, but now its DO OR DIE. We can't take any more.

Think its about time the super market giants should step in as they can make their fuel reasonably priced over their own other products in their mass marketing, it can be done... so why not?

The wealthy at the top have to start realising that the foundations of this country is now falling apart.
Rising fuel prives is not the governments fault, that is a supply problem and when countries like China are stock piling that is the biggest worry. They are looking to the future, Britain looks to the end of its nose as the last governments have done for more than 30 years.

Our government can take responsibility for the duty on fuel but don't, they choose the easy option and not of raising revenue from elsewhere.

I can never understand the mentality of raising prices higher in the time of hardship, if people can't afford low prices 3 years ago, they can ill afford new ones now.

Take the Amstard philosophy, 'stack them high sell them cheap' so people can live and have a bit more faith and freedom to choose on what the want to buy.

Someone quoted inflation at 5%, this is nonsense, anyone who does weekly shopping knows that this is very much higher than this. The only reason inflation is at 5% is they do not include things like petrol, bread and butter, the things that really matter, but high definition televisions and the such that are having falling prices because of the recession.

So the thieves, sorry treasury, lost out on £1bn due to lack of people buying fuel due to higher pump prices. Doesn't this tell the thicko's that we call our government anything? The fact of the matter is that we have the highest fuel prices in the world for developed countries. We live in a nation of greed. If we had lower pump prices everything would be cheaper, and the thieves would reach their targets for inflation. And before anyone bangs on about the price of oil, its been stagnent for the past year or so. And as for our national debt, just get rid of the countries AAA rating as it affects no one in the real world. When are we going to take some proper action and bring this country to a standstill with some proper protests by which I mean blockade every fuel station AND forecourt in the country? The thieves will soon lose another £1bn and start crying and panicking and with any luck, give us back what they have stolen off us over the past 20 years since their greatest asset, the fuel ESCALATOR was introduced.

It is about time the people of this country stood up to the government, they walk all over us and just do what they want it does not matter who is in power they all like to line their own pockets. What happened to the people of this country that used to fight for what they believed in and what they wanted ? I agree with Paul posted 26/02/12.

Goerge Osbourne....a disgrace to this country. Just another Tory who knows nothing about, nor does he give a damn about the tough times that millions of us are enduring.
Took my car off the road 6 months ago....one of my few remaining pleasures in life taken from me by the greedy ignorant fatcats who seem to be doing very well for themselves during this recession.
Bring on general strikes & people power....it's either that, or do as we are doing....going steadily downhill as a nation & as a people.

How much more are we going to take from this government. They claim their expenses for everything. Where do they think we get the money for rising prices on fuel, road tax, and everyday living. We are being ripped off everytime we have to open our wallets. It's time we all stood up to this government as a nation, we may then see some change....

metal thieves, paid in cash avoiding paying taxes, driving untaxed transit vans, fly tipping robbing any metal objects not nailed down, MP's a paid by over burdoned tax payers.
So on the day the enquiry gave it's explanation of why the summer riots occured. On ghe same day the SS sorry democratic govt! Announced we tax payers are to buy fir the rozzers 3 mobile water cannon and condoned the use of rubber bullets.
Do we live in 2012? This country is becoming more like a regime, taxation is an efficeint weapon of control, increase tax, reduce mr Bloggs capital to spend.
Within 3 years the govt agreed to reduce child poverty, it would appear they have done the exact opposite as 'Well to do' ministers quaffe Mum and Moet. These toffs have no idea. To become a tory candidate, you need to be a member of the party, membership cost £42k!!! So basically if you. An't afford it, your not in the club.
Corruption is rife throughout the UK Govt, the EU and 99% of govts.
People have been suckered into the materialistic world of shinney car on the drive.. LCD tv's, the latest fashions etc it is you people that have no spine to lose a days wages, to gain in the long term.
Remember if you vote, you cause part of the problem, as these MP's act on your account, in your name.
So if you don't like what they do! Then don't vote. My Grandad did'nt goto war so we had to tollerate being ripped off.

I hate this millionaire toff i agree we need a general strike to show these circus clowns that the people of this country has had enough of these bleeding cuts. Its alright for them they are all millionaires and can afford all the price rises. But they dont give a damn about us. Our biggest worry is the ruination of our beloved NHS they are out to privatise it and you and i will suffer if you rely on the health service. Their aim is to make money money money and you cannot make money out of people's health.I pray every night that there is a general strike i have emailed everyone i can think off to declare a general strike. Unions etc newspapers. I would like to know what ever happened to the old british spirit. ? This country is not a democracy its a bloody dictatorship and we cannot remove these clowns from parliament for five years i think murder will be committed before that. If this was france they would be out on the street rioting. They dont put up with their government treating them all like something they have removed from their shoe. I am due to retire soon and if i cannot afford to buy food i will take it i wont starve and if i am put away i will get three meals a day a cosy cell and no bloody bills to pay who said crime dosnt pay. Because this government is leaving me nothing to live on. Cameron is no better then gadaffi the only difference is he is keeping his people down by financial means where gadaffi used guns.
